Jared Krauss is an Iowa-born, London-based photographic artist. He relocated to London in 2018. After completing an MA in Photography at Kingston University, he freelanced while also working as a photography assistant.
Like for many artists, the pandemic disrupted things, and Jared now balances a part-time job, in Kingston University's art school library, with dedicating his remaining time to his own art practice.
As an artist, and scholar, Jared has always felt a sense of duality, and uncertainty at truly being either. Perhaps this is because he is interested in the Everyday, with a particular focus on cameras and screens in public and private space; also politics and protests, drug use and activism.
